Stocking Stuffers: Hand-Painted Notepads, Cards & More
The best part of Christmas morning is digging to the toe of the stocking. Fill it with small, hand-painted surprises: a pretty notepad, a set of cards for the friend who loves snail mail, or a tea towel rolled up and tied with ribbon. Every piece is painted by me in watercolor, small enough to tuck in, and special enough to keep.
Some recipes only come out once a year. These Christmas recipe cards give the sugar cookies, the fudge and Grandma's famous rolls a home worth keeping. A cross-stitch "Recipe" title sits inside a lace doily frame tied with a red bow, bordered by candy cane stripes, tiny wreaths and a little Christmas tree. On the back, a watercolor rolling pin tops the lined directions.
Each card has space for the title, notes, prep and total time, ingredients in two columns, and plenty of lines for directions. Start a holiday recipe collection, fill them out for your cookie exchange, or tuck one into a tin of homemade treats so friends can make them too.
